I woke up with a very uneasy feeling. I don’t know what was wrong or what is going to be, but something felt strange and unusual. Vikram and I woke up as usual, without any words exchanged between us, but still, I couldn’t place a finger on it. I got ready in a blue anarkali suit, trying to cheer myself up. Today we were meeting my family for breakfast at a restaurant and if you are wondering why they weren’t coming home, then it was because Vikram had strictly ordered that even their shadow should not fall on this house. I could only comply silently. His parents didn’t have any objection and I couldn’t get myself to say anything.
